Step-by-Step Recovery Procedure



Step 1: Prepare and Format the USB Drive

  1. Insert the USB drive into your PC.

  2. Open This PC, right-click the drive, select Format, and choose FAT32 under file system choices.

  3. Complete the format.

Step 2: Load the Firmware File

  1. Copy the downloaded upgrade_image_no_tvcertificatecusdatatvconfig_user_sa_20240722.pkg file directly onto the USB drive.

  2. Place the file directly in the root directory (e.g., upgrade_image_no_tvcertificatecusdatatvconfig_user_sa_20240722.pkg).

  3. Do not put the file inside any folder, and do not rename the file. The TV's bootloader looks for the exact file name at the drive root.

Step 3: Trigger the Cold "Force Update" Sequence

Because the TV cannot boot into the normal Android/Google TV settings menu, you must trigger a forced recovery read directly from the mainboard:

  • Unplug the TV power cable from the electrical socket.



  • Insert your prepared USB drive into the TV’s USB 2.0 port (usually the white or black port; avoid the blue USB 3.0 port for recovery flashing).

  • Locate the physical Power Button directly on the TV chassis (located along the lower bottom frame or behind the lower back panel).

  • Press and hold the physical power button on the TV. Please image below;



  • While keeping the physical button held down, plug the power cable back into the wall outlet. Please see image below;



  • Continue holding the power button until the screen displays "Upgrading" or "Software Updating" with a progress bar, then release the button.



Step 4: Installation & Auto-Reboot

  • The progress bar takes roughly 5 to 15 minutes to complete.

  • Do not touch the remote control, press any buttons, or disconnect power during this period.

  • Once the overwrite is complete, the TV will automatically shut down and reboot into the initial Google TV setup screen.
