What You Need Before Starting
USB Flash Drive: Use an 8GB to 32GB (maximum) drive. Larger drives often fail to read during boot. (You can convert other flash drive into large Fat32)
Format to FAT32: The TV's bootloader cannot read NTFS or exFAT formatted drives.
Stable Power: Connect the TV directly to a wall outlet or reliable surge protector. Interrupting the process will permanently corrupt the mainboard.
Firmware Package: Download
MTK9602_GTV_PS1_NA.zipand extract the file upgrade_image_no_tvcertificatecusdatatvconfig_user_na_20240419.pkg.
Step-by-Step Recovery Procedure
⚠️ Read carefully: Executing a force-update carries a risk of bricking your device if interrupted or performed with the incorrect file. Follow the steps sequentially.
1. Prepare the USB Drive Insert your USB drive into a computer, right-click it, select Format, and choose FAT32.
2. Copy the Firmware
Extract 'MTK9602_GTV_PS1_NA.zip'. Copy the file upgrade_image_no_tvcertificatecusdatatvconfig_user_na_20240419.pkg directly to the top level (root directory) of the USB drive. Do not put it inside a folder or change the file name.
3. Trigger the Force Update
Unplug the TV Clarus Outdoor™ 75PS1 power cord from the wall outlet.
Insert the USB drive into the TV USB port.
Press and hold the physical Power button on the TV chassis.
While holding the power button, plug the TV back into the wall outlet.
Keep holding the power button for roughly 15 seconds until the LED indicator blinks red or you see the LOADING DATA... 1% screen.
Release the button immediately once the progress bar appears.
4. Allow System to Flash and Reboot
The flashing process takes between 10 and 15 minutes.
Do not press any remote buttons, unplug power, or remove the USB drive while the progress bar runs.
The TV will restart on its own when finished.
5. Perform a Factory Reset on Clarus Outdoor™ 65PS1 Once the setup wizard completes, force a fresh system reset to clear lingering cache:
Open Home
Go to Settings → System → About
Select Reset
