  4. Stable Power Connection: Ensure the wall outlet and power cables are secure. A loss of power mid-flash will corrupt the bootloader permanently.



Step-by-Step Recovery Procedure

⚠️ CAUTION: Read these steps carefully before plugging anything in. Turning off the TV or pulling the USB drive mid-process can permanently damage the motherboard.

 

Step 1: Format the USB Drive

  • Plug your USB flash drive into your PC or laptop.

  • Open This PC, right-click the drive, and select Format.

  • Set the File System to FAT32 and click Start.



Step 2: Extract and Copy the Firmware File

  • Extract the contents of MstarUpgrade_no_tvcertificatetvconfig.zip.

  • Copy the file MstarUpgrade_no_tvcertificatetvconfig_20211022.bin directly to the root directory of your USB drive (do not put it inside any folder, and do not rename it).



Step 3: Trigger the Force Update Mode

  1. Unplug the TV's power cord directly from the wall socket.

  2. Insert your USB drive into the TV’s USB 2.0 port (usually the black or white port, not the blue USB 3.0 port).

  3. Press and hold the physical power button on the TV panel (not the remote).

  4. While continuing to hold the power button, plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

  5. Keep holding the power button for about 15 seconds until the status LED starts flashing red or you see "LOADING DATA... 1%" on the screen.

  6. Release the power button once you see the progress bar change to "UPGRADING SOFTWARE PLEASE DO NOT TURN OFF".



Step 4: Wait for Completion & Factory Reset

  • Let the progress bar finish. The entire process takes between 5 to 15 minutes.

  • The TV will automatically reboot once the installation reaches 100%.

  • Once the TV boots up into the fresh setup screen, complete the initial setup.

  • To ensure all old cache files are cleared, perform a final factory reset:
