This software is for TV units sold globally. Flashing this firmware onto models from other regions or different hardware builds can permanently brick your mainboard.

Read every step carefully before starting. Interrupting a forced update or using the wrong settings can turn your TV into an unrecoverable paperweight. Proceed at your own risk.

Things You Need Before Starting

  1. A USB Flash Drive: 8GB capacity minimum. It must be formatted to FAT32 (the TV’s bootloader cannot read exFAT or NTFS during startup).

  2. Stable Power Connection: Do not attempt this during unstable weather or on a loose socket. Losing power midway will corrupt the TV's memory chips.

  3. Extraction Software: WinRAR, 7-Zip, or your system's built-in ZIP extractor.

  4. Firmware File: Download upgrade_loader_common_user_globe_sa.zip. Once unzipped, ensure you have the raw .pkg file:

    • Target File: upgrade_loader_common_user_globe_sa_8.0_20190325.pkg

Step-by-Step Force Flashing Procedure

1.Format the USB Drive to FAT32:

Plug your USB drive into a PC. Right-click the drive in File Explorer, select Format, set the file system to FAT32, and hit Start.

2.Extract and Transfer the File:

Unzip upgrade_loader_common_user_globe_sa.zip. Copy the extracted upgrade_loader_common_user_globe_sa_8.0_20190325.pkg file directly to the root directory of your USB drive (do not put it inside any folders or change its file name).

3.Trigger the Forced Update:

Because the TV won't boot into Android, you must trigger the bootloader manually:

  • Unplug the TV power cord from the wall outlet.

  • Insert the USB drive into a USB 2.0 port on the TV (usually colored black or white, avoid blue USB 3.0 ports). Please see figure as actual an image below for your reference;

  • Plugin the TV to the power source.

  • Press and hold the physical power button on the TV chassis, located at the left side facing the TV (not the remote).

  • While holding the button, plug the TV back into the wall outlet.

  • Keep holding the button for roughly 15 seconds until the red indicator LED begins to blink, white red white red color in rhythm then release it. Please refer to actual image below;

Never mind the stickers of accountability stick around the SKYWORTH logo.

4.Allow the Overwrite Process to Run:

The TV will detect the package and begin flashing. The entire process takes 10 to 15 minutes. It will restart several times during this time.

What do you expect within the 15 minutes window. First, you will be shown by this image, please refer to the image below;

Then a few minutes has passed, you will be then see this image. Please refer to the actual figure below;

Do not touch the remote, remove the USB drive, or turn off the power during this window until you will be greet with Welcome setup. Please refer to the actual image below;

5.Perform a Factory Reset:

Once done, the TV will automatically reboot into the initial Android setup screen. Complete the basic setup, then immediately run a full system wipe to clear old cache files:
